GrünKultur/GreenCulture
combines environmental and developmental issues within the context of the North
Rhine-Westphalian county partnership with Mpumalanga (South Africa).
Our aim is the realisation of an intercultural project for environmental education,
as defined by The United Nation's Agenda 21: The colourful diversity of people
and nations, as well as their different ways of life and methods of production,
are at the centre of our projects. Nature and culture are brought together through
specific activities. These activities help to create intercultural contacts,
generate new experiences and opportunities for communi-cation, as well as establishing
links between different people and cultures.
We are interested in the "green
language of the people": Present, past,
and even lost (and regained) knowledge that helps to combine environmental education
with intercultural learning in a direct and immediate way.
